This delightful early reader features a short Captain, and a tall Mate who sail on their pirate ship. In their four adventures together, they don't always agree, but they are sure funny in their disagreement. Matey, in his purple flowered vest, dreams of a treasure so he can have jewels and a crown. Captain, in his very proper uniform, dreams of a treasure so he can have a bigger ship. But is that really what they want? Charming.

"This year, as we opened the box, she said 'Hey, look! A new timeline book!' When I told her it was hers to use, she pulled it out with awe and kissed it. I love that one of her growing-up milestones will be her use of the timeline that she's watched her sisters diligently fill throughout her life. It's a page in her very own story."

Sonlight has developed a love of learning in all three of my children. As a speech-language pathologist, I was excited by the rich language and vocabulary each Core contains. Each of our kids absolutely relishes the Sonlight books. I'm personally excited to re-use our first Core this year for Faith and am blessed to watch her love of learning grow as richly as her brothers. Here, Jameson (11, Core F) teaches Faith (5, Core A) how to use The Timeline Book (#RR120) to track world history.
