"Homeschooling with Sonlight has been one of the best decisions we have made for our family. It has brought our family closer, and has allowed us great adventures together," writes Sennu K of Vero Beach, FL. "One of my favorite memories this year was a trip to Disney World. On our way there I started reading Seven Daughters and Seven Sons aloud, and we got into the story so much that we ended up staying in our hotel room reading the book into midnight, because we couldn't put it down." In this photo, Sennu (Mom), Mae (4, not yet homeschooling) and Abby (12, HBL F) celebrate Abby's last day of 6th Grade. Although Abby is the only one currently homeschooling, their four oldest children who have finished homeschool and are all attending colleges, still enjoy taking part in her Read-Alouds, and often take turns reading the books together. "We so love the books Sonlight chooses, and look forward to our next year with HBL G."
"When I read Sarita's heart for missions in last year's catalog, it was the final confirmation that Sonlight was the right curriculum for our family," writes Megan E of Madison, AL. "We have a heart for people who have never heard the Gospel, and Sonlight traveled all the way to Southeast Asia with us as we shared the Good News. Thank you, Sonlight, for the wonderful choices in the curriculum that makes learning a joy." In this photo, Moses (5) holds up his favorite story while on the mission field in Southeast Asia. Capyboppy is part of the History / Bible / Literature A program.
"The great variety of topics covered in the Sonlight curriculum has provided so many opportunities to discuss important issues as a family. Our children understand that there is a world full of physical and spiritual needs, and countless people to whom we can show Christ's love. Read-Alouds are undoubtedly the highlight of our day. Sonlight Readers, with their great character development and interesting stories, have given my children a love of reading." In his eighth year of Sonlight, Caleb (11, Level F), sketches the bean sprout he grew for science. – Sharilee J of Shawnee, KS

John and Sarita Holzmann began Sonlight Curriculum in 1990. Sarita had planned to pick orders while her youngest son napped.
He was never much of a napper, and the orders soon increased far more than she had anticipated.
Life: it's never quite what you expect. But this unexpected blessing has been part of their lives for over a quarter century.
The Holzmanns have four adult children, in the nicely ordered sequence girl, boy, girl, boy. The three older children all work at Sonlight.
Amy has worked for Sonlight since 2001, first in Product Development, and, more recently, in Marketing. She homeschools her five sons.
Luke has produced all the Avyx DVDs (such as the Discover and Do Science DVDs, the Mathtacular DVDs), and now works primarily in Marketing, bringing enthusiasm, passion, and clear thinking.
Jonelle is part of the Marketing team, offering input on design and content, and, spends time previewing books for possible use in Sonlight and the Summer Readers. Mostly, she stays home with her three children whom she homeschools.
(Justin, the youngest, also offers occasional input, when he isn't busy with his career.)
All eight grandchildren are homeschooled using Sonlight.
