"Sonlight has chosen some very special books that have uniquely shaped our lives," writes Christy W. "My kids still love books from their first Core. Their favorite of all time is Things People Do. They must have read it a hundred times! This past year, our favorite was Red Sails to Capri. Although we read it at bedtime, we never got sleepy. In fact, we laughed so loudly that Dad came in to see why we were making so much noise! I treasure each day, as we make lifelong memories together." Jessica (9) and Kylie (7) are reading their way through Core D in the family's fifth year of Sonlight.

We wish we knew about Sonlight's literature-based approach, and the convenience and flexibility of your IGs [Instructor's Guides] earlier. We live in Vietnam, where it's difficult to get good books for children in English. The fact that Sonlight provides all the book we need for a year is such a privilege. I had struggled with finding resources for my eldest with auditory processing disorders. With the amount of reading, he has shown remarkable progresses in attention and reading comprehension. Your well-selected books offer renewed inspiration and creative ideas each day, which is especially important when you homeschool a special-needs child. Ted (4, P4/5 Multi-Subject), Tom and Amy (9 and 7, Cores A and B) are reading about fishermen at a beach near their home.

Mostly serious but sometimes lighthearted look at various jobs--from farmer to service station owner, newspaper reporter to veterinarian. Fascinating! In Usborne's inimitable style.
