"I was initially unsure about homeschooling, but Sonlight's Instructor's Guide makes it so easy for me to plan our lessons and not worry about missing something important. I've been surprised by how easy it is to include both boys (ages 6 and 4) in our Core studies. What first excited us about Sonlight was its international focus. We love how the Core combines maps, missionary stories, and books with a range of cultures and races to show our children the beauty and importance of the world beyond their small town. Jeremiah (6) and Nathaniel (4) love to use their Markable Map (#MAP) to find the places they learn about in Core B." – Sara R, La Fayette, GA
"Sonlight makes it easy to wake up and homeschool. They do all of the prep work for me. As much as I'd love to spend hours thinking about how I'll teach my kids, it doesn't often happen. I'm their Mom, too, and wife to my husband. I have other responsibilities and I want to do all of these well. I love the book choices, and how Sonlight suggests how many pages a day to read. It's so simple!" In the summer before their sixth Sonlight year, the family went on a mission trip to Uganda. This year, Joy (16) will study Level 500, while Ayden (14), Effy (12) and Jayken (10) study Level W together. – Melissa W of Brownwood, TX
"Sonlight has been not only fun and stress-free, but also a lifesaver," writes Andriana S of Fairbanks, AK. "During a rough winter of sickness, I was still able to pick up my Instructor's Guide, get out the books and teach with ease. Watching my child learn so quickly, with such depth, and in such a small amount of time each day really gave me the inspiration I needed to keep teaching every day.
"With Sonlight, I feel we have everything we need for a complete, in-depth, Christ-centered education. My favorite part about using Sonlight is all of the 'real' books we get to read together daily.
"Sonlight is so fun to use year-round! The Science is perfect for our long summer days in the Land of the Midnight Sun." Here, friend and fellow Sonlighter, Athena M, with Noelle S (6) and Zoe M (6) share some outdoor Sonlight at the local botanical gardens, as they read How Flowers Grow (from Science A). The girls are studying Core A.
