Important Update: Sonlight Science Level F Change for 2025

At Sonlight, we are always working to enhance and refine our curriculum to provide the best possible learning experience for homeschooling families. As part of this effort, we have redesigned and updated our middle school science levels to better align with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) while maintaining our signature literature-based learning approach. 

What's Changing?

Starting in April 2025, Life Science is moving from Science F to Science G. If you have completed Science F: Life Science in 2024, we recommend choosing from one of the following options for 2025: 

• Science F: Earth and Space Science (New!)
• Science H: Physical Science
• Health and Human Anatomy

Important Note for All-Subjects Package Purchasers  

If you plan to purchase a Level G All-Subjects Package, you will need to customize your package to swap out the default Science G package for another science option that best fits your student’s needs. 

What’s New in Sonlight Science? Our redesigned Science F, G, and H programs now join levels K–E in a comprehensive, literature-based, standards-aligned curriculum that fosters deep learning through reading, discussion, and hands-on application. Here’s what you can expect: 

✔ A research-based, standards-aligned approach that promotes critical thinking and real-world application.  
✔ New hands-on experiments directly connected to the lessons.  
✔ Updated book selections and brand-new instructional videos.  
✔ Flexible progression—Science F, G, and H can be completed in any order (note: Science H requires a basic understanding of Algebra).
