This is one of my favorite books! I loved reading it to my 6th and 8th grade girls, and I can't wait to read it again to my boys when they are a little older. Wonderful story of a boy whose instincts draw and pull him closer and closer to this dream of climbing an unclimbable mountain that his father died climbing while this boy was just a baby. It touched my heart as a mom as I related the mother in this book who learned that she could not protect her boy forever and keep him from fulfilling his dream. What a wonderful story, I could barely read through the tears as we finished the last few chapters. I heartily recommend this book!!!
