My kids and I love this book! Both of my boys want to take a trip to Italy now so that we can visit the Blue Grotto. I am recommending this book to all my friends with young kids.

My children (ages 2 and 7 years) love this book. Both found it enjoyable and listened to the entire book with anticipation.

I really enjoyed this book, my son did not really enjoy it like others but he did listen. I had some trouble reading it out loud because of accents. It was a great story. I don't want to give spoilers but at the end of the book when you found out what was in the cave you can go online and get real pictures and information. That really helped my son understand the ending better.

One of our favorite books this year. The story grabbed my son right away. We also enjoyed researching the grotto after finishing, and watched several YouTube videos of people swimming inside. Well worth the read.

Took a bit for the kids to be interested, but in the end we had a great time learning about the grotto; even looked it up on the internet, where you could see people going through it.

A very fun, cultural experience! The kids were giggling right from the beginning as the characters came alive in our living room. Each person has a rich and colorful personality enhanced, of course, by all the appropriate accents. It was a fun read. I do think the kids were a little disappointed that the cove didn't have a more exciting, piratey kinda treasure; but they were very intrigued with the Blue Grotto. Now guess where everyone wants to go visit? :)

Absolutely perfect book to begin our SL experience. My daughters (6 and 9) were riveted. We are fortunate to live in Europe and have now added Capri to our short-list of places to visit while here!

No illustrations, yet my seven year old daughter was begging everyday for extra pages! Wow, beyond my wildest dreams!

Fun book! It was neat to read about a place where the kids' grandparents used to live. They had pictures of the blue grotto for us to see after we had finished the book. Wonderful story!

Very enjoyable. Fun to read too . . . you find yourself falling into the Italian accent. The mystery of it kept us hooked.
