History, Geography, Bible reading and memorization

Journey through the highlights of World History in this All-Subjects Package. With Sonlight W, your students will see the connected flow of human history from creation through the present, and they'll have a great time doing so. This level also helps students develop critical thinking skills and understand the world today by seeing how we got where we are. The 36-week study helps them understand their own and others' cultures by seeing connections between civilizations around the world and throughout time.

Help children build a firm spiritual foundation as you share daily scripture reading and scripture memorization with the included Sing the Word! CD+digital. Watch their personal journey with the Lord flourish as they develop their own devotional habits. Prayer Refresh introduces a wide variety of short prayers that you can pray in a minute or less, prayers to fit into your day, right where you are.

Includes Sonlight's History / Bible / Literature W, World History, One Year Condensed. Click here for the HBL H option if you used 7th Grade with HBL G last year.

Literature

Sonlight offers two types of literature: Read-Alouds for parents to share with their children, and Readers for children to read on their own. The Read-Alouds offer more sophisticated story lines and rich discussion points, and the Readers offer age-appropriate reading tied directly into the history content of the program.

Language Arts

This complete Language Arts program with daily lesson plans helps your children develop excellent written communication skills.

Includes Language Arts W. Language Arts W covers key skills of the G and H programs, from character development to avoiding clichés to the difference between hyphens and dashes. Writers develop critical thinking, literary analysis, and creative skills for high school and beyond.

Science

In this All-Subjects Package we schedule Apologia's General Science, which provides a wonderful overview of the entire range of scientific inquiry. This course is designed for use by homeschoolers and includes topics like a brief history of science; the scientific method; how to interpret experiments; the distinction between science, applied science, and much more. It is written with the interests and concerns of evangelical Christians at the center.

Math

Sonlight includes Math-U-See Pre-Algebra, Level Up Set in the 7th Grade All-Subjects Package. Pre-Algebra covers things like negative numbers, order of operations, solving for the unknown, and other topics. Your student will learn how to add, subtract, multiply and divide with negative numbers. They will also learn about whole numbers; integers, the number line, exponents, and place value.

Resources

A few essential resources make your learning extra rich this year. The All-Subjects package includes a 3” Binder with Tabs to organize your Instructor’s Guides. We recommend adding The Timeline Book, and Markable Map and Markers if you don’t already own them. (The Timeline Book and Markable Map only need to be purchased once. You'll be using them each year).
