Continues instruction and practice in manuscript print, then moves in mid-year to cursive handwriting. Practice focuses on passages from the Gospels.
A Reason for Handwriting is a complete handwriting curriculum with daily practice focused on verses from Scripture, as presented in the Living Bible paraphrase. Students learn the traditional "ball-and-stick" style of print and a standard cursive hand.
By providing students with fancy border sheets on which to do their work (border sheets suitable for display) the authors of A Reason for Handwriting seek to motivate students subconsciously to think of the public nature of their work and, therefore, to improve their handwriting.
