Students enrolled in a Sonlight Language Arts online course can now get extra language arts support from a licensed instructor! Sonlight’s LAMP program is tailored for students seeking personalized guidance and support on their language arts writing assignments.
How does Sonlight's Language Arts Mentor Program (LAMP) work?
Many homeschool parents consider Language Arts the most challenging subject to teach especially when it comes to objectively scoring student writing. With Sonlight's Language Arts Mentoring Program (LAMP), your child will receive tailored online language arts tutoring. Our experienced LAMP mentor provides one-on-one support to nurture grammar and mechanics, writing proficiency, and critical thinking skills.

How do I purchase the Sonlight Language Arts Mentor Program?
LAMP is a complementary program to Sonlight's Virtual Language Arts courses, levels 100-400. You will need to purchase a Virtual Language Arts program and the Virtual Seat for it to add LAMP.

Meet our Mentor
Dave Myers has been an English and PE teacher in northeast Michigan for the past 30 years after graduating from Central Michigan University with both his BS and Master’s degree in education. He has worked with students ranging from middle school to college bound seniors in high school. He specialized in AP Literature, American Literature, College Prep Writing, and the study of grammar. During that time, he and his wife, Jen, raised four children who were all homeschooled until they went to high school. He has worked with public school, homeschool, and online students over the course of his career.

How do I purchase LAMP?
LAMP is a complementary program to Sonlight's Virtual Language Arts Course. You will need to purchase a qualifying All-Subjects package or High School Literature / Language Arts course and the Virtual Seat for it to add LAMP.
How much does LAMP cost?
LAMP costs a mere $10 to $17 a week, depending on your level of Language Arts.
Can I return a LAMP seat?
LAMP seats qualify for our 30-day guarantee. If your purchase qualifies for the Love to Learn, Love to TeachTM guarantee, follow those details. Visit our returns page for complete details.
How long do I have access to my LAMP session?
You'll have access to your LAMP session between the posted START and ENDS dates.
Will I have access to my course materials after the LAMP session has ended?
You will have access to your course and all uploaded materials for 12 months from your enrollment date. Any coursework, proof of work, gradebooks, and reports will need to be downloaded prior to the end of the 12-month period.
Can I add a LAMP seat after my original purchase?
Yes, you can add LAMP at a later date as long as it is within 6 months of your original qualifying purchase. We cannot add online access after 6 months has passed. Please contact Customer Service to add LAMP within 6 months of your qualifying purchase.
Once I've purchased, how do I enroll?
You will receive an email after your order ships. Follow the directions in the email you receive.
Do I purchase access for each student? Or can multiple students share a log-in?
Access should be purchased per student.
