No one but Sonlight offered a curriculum that gave such a wonderful overview of the Eastern Hemisphere countries and cultures! The books helped our children understand what they would experience before we went to South Africa for two months. Reading 'A Journey to Jo'burg' aloud on the porch of our house outside Jo'burg [Johannesburg] had an incredibly powerful impact and helped all of us (parents included) understand the depth of apartheid and the healing South Africa is going through. And as their father continues to travel the world with his job, our five kids have a window into those faraway places through the wonderful books in Core F. Thirteen-year-old William got a big special kiss during his family's adventure. This was their first year of Sonlight.
"We are very thankful for Sonlight curriculum that challenges Eli, stretching and maturing him in preparation for college," writes Cory T of Haiti. "The resources Sonlight provides and the emphasis on thinking through information, looking at issues from various perspectives, and communication skills will be very helpful in any college atmosphere. The books hold Eli's interest and motivate learning. And the organized Instructor's Guides help us move effectively through our school days while balancing school and ministry." Here, 14-year-old Eli and 11-year-old Anna take a break from studies to help at a blood pressure screening. In their sixth year of Sonlight, Eli uses Core 300 as Anna studies Core H.
Sonlight's Language Arts curriculum builds confidence in young readers. My oldest daughter began homeschooling in first grade after attending private school kindergarten. She wasn't a confident reader, but as she completed each I Can Read It book [from Grade 1 Readers] and the corresponding word lists, she began to believe that she really could read and her confidence grew. She not only wanted to read to me, but also to others. Thank you Sonlight for putting together a program that inspires confident readers. In her first year of homeschooling, Lizzie (7) reads to Evie (4) and baby Lucy. She's studying Core C with Grade 1 Readers. Brother Gus (9) is a second-year Sonlight student using Core C with Grade 3 Readers.

The entire set of Scripture verses in your 2nd Grade or Sonlight B Bible Memory program set to a diverse variety of music played by an incredibly wide range of musical instruments.
Childrens and adults voices combine to clearly articulate the words. An artistic and spiritual delight. Bonus track teaches the books of the New Testament. Uses King James and New King James Bible versions.
