Standards-Based Science Programs, Levels F, G, H 

Sonlight’s Level F, Level G, and Level H science programs are completely new and redesigned—joining Levels K-E— these science programs now adhere to the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS)1. In total, Sonlight Science levels K-H now combine our signature literature-based style of learning using the standards-based approach of learning through application.

Our classic model of learning by reading, discussing, and doing is combined with research-based science standards. In addition, each level becomes more interconnected as brand new hands-on experiments now tie directly to the rest of the content. Books have been changed, added, or removed from these levels. Videos for these levels are completed as well.

Note: Life Science has moved from Science F to Science G for 2025. If you have completed Science F: Life Science in 2024, please choose either the new Science F: Earth and Space Science, Science H: Physical Science , or Health and Human Anatomy for 2025.

Science F, G & H are designed for Middle School grades and can be done in any order. However, Science H requires a basic understanding of Algebra.

Health and Human Anatomy

In addition to the revamped Science levels, we have written a new Science program: Health and Human Anatomy. This level can be used whenever parents want to introduce the topic of changes to the body, typically covered around 5th grade. It is an optional program that parents can choose to use if desired.

Last year, we started carrying the Berean Builders Earth Science and Biology programs by Dr. Jay Wile. We are adding Berean Builders Physics to the lineup. This program includes the necessary supplies kit for the experiments that illustrate the various concepts being explored.

Last year we launched virtual courses for high school levels 100-400 Literature/Language Arts courses. This year we are excited to offer the same levels for Bible/History. Sonlight Virtual provides the perfect balance of independent and parent-led study. The online platform allows students to select their courses, view their schedules, take assessments, review their grades, communicate with their parents, and more.

New Virtual Courses will be available July 1st, 2025.
