4 out of 5 stars by Christy H on 2011-04-29
Great story but my first grader liked it better than my preschoolers. It is told in first person and the little boy is preoccupied with fear of spirits of the dead. Not that you can't have fruitful conversations with young kids about people's false beliefs, but my 4 year old is very sensitive and fearful already, and he had a hard time with that aspect of the story. I love the exposure to missions at an early age though.

My son (5 yrs old) really enjoyed this story and had me read it several times. I'm so glad that I can introduce him early on to other cultures and religions and help him sense the need they have for Christ.

This is a wonderful story to introduce your child to world religions, however I don't feel it is appropriate for the pre k age range. We read this story after finishing Core 1.

I intended reading this book in small bits throughout a week. I thought my boys (4 and 6) wouldn't be able to pay attention well if I read it all at once. I was wrong. They wouldn't let me stop. We loved it and it helped them with the concept of other religions.
