5 out of 5 stars by Kathy A. on 2008-04-01
The Winnie the Pooh stories were our daughters first read alouds at the age of 1 year old. This is a timeless classic which we come back to again and again.

I can't say that my kids or I enjoyed this book. Parts of it were non-sensical and didn't really make sense. The characters had a lot of bad manners, that were accepted as normal. I would rate this book as one of those books that is good to read (for cultural literacy), but it's not a particularly enjoyable book.

4 out of 5 stars by Robin e. on 2007-07-24
I had trouble with the book. The part when Eeyore is bounced into the river by Tigger and is commenting on why he is in the river in his dry way.... Well, it was just impossible to read. I was laughing too hard. I will add that this book is a little wordy/long for many 5 and 6 year olds. Some parts the kids did well with (they were 7 and 5 at the time) and others just seemed to go up and over the younger one's head.
