My 12-year old daughter thinks it was awesome and helpful. In addition to her assignments, she has used it to research other topics.

I really liked this book, it took us all over the Bible and was VERY easy to follow/plan for. There are 36 lessons and 5 questions or activities, (like writing to a missionary or drawing a picture of the tabernacle) per lesson, with a few pages of reading for each question. The only drawback is that the language seemed too young at times.

This is the first book I have found from Sonlight that I was disappointed in. Not for the content, but because of the way it was written. The word "special" was over used and instead of speaking about archeologists - which every Sonlight student know about, the book continually used the phrase "people who study old things." It might work well for much younger students, but personally I felt the book was talking down to us.
