Includes The Care and Keeping of You: The Body Book for Girls.
Students discover the wonders of the human body
in Science F, including anatomy, health and nutrition, diseases, survival skills,
the history of medicine, and a unit on gender differences and reproduction. The Blood & Guts book provides amusing and amazing hands-on experiments to teach about the body.
Students also learn
about geology, fossils, evolution and intelligent
design to better understand the broad discussion
of the earth’s formation. A DVD, Unlocking the
Mystery of Life, shows evidence for an Intelligent Designer and adds depth to the origin of life
conversation.
There is a brief, three-week unit on survival skills (a unit at least tangentially related to health and human physiology!). We also touch on geology from both evolutionary and creationist perspectives.
The few science supplies you'll need should be available in your home. You don't need anything else to complete your program, but we would like to recommend:

My 11 year old daughter has absolutely loved this curriculum. The books are absolutely fantastic and a visual feast for the eyes. There is a perfect balance of how we are so wonderfully created and the responsiblity we have in maintaining our health. It also contains critical content to equip pre-teens for the changes ahead.
Highly recommended.

My 11 year old daughter said it best "it is awesome". We have both thoroughly enjoyed this year's science program ever since we began last fall. Thanks Sonlight!

The best part of the whole curriculum by far. Like Jeannette, my daughter took one look at a few of the books, particularly the book for girls and said "Ugh!" But now she loves it! Especially the Complete Book of the Human Body. The images are colorful and appealing, and the instruction is interesting. She is learning so much about God's creation, and we have enjoyed learning these things together. I was worried the activity sheets would get boring, but she seems to like them. I often find her looking at the books on her own time.

At first, my 10 year old daughter was not wanting to work on this science program at all. Now after 14 weeks, she looks forward to the assignments. I believe her favorite part is
Blood and Guts with its science experiments.
