Additional Bible Study Package A

Sadly, this wasn't our family's favorite Bible or CD. I do think it is just a personal preference. The Bible from last year was much shorter with pictures each day and this year made a huge leap to very long stories and rare pictures. I think it would have been better for my kids in a year or two. The stories were very good, but just too much for the age of my children. I do think that many children could enjoy this Bible very much, it just wasn't the perfect fit for our family this year. We also didn't really enjoy the CD...again, just a personal preference. Our kids love music styles like Go Fish Guys for christian music, so they literally begged me to take this CD out. We go with the AWANA program for our memorizing, so they weren't even learning the verses on this CD. It is a very talented family that made the CD and I know many will love it. I hope that Sonlight will possibly offer multiple options in the future for those who enjoy something different!

In all my years of teaching Sunday School and Bible Lessons, this is the best Bible I have found for kids. Its not afraid to encounter the hard stories (Cain & Able or all of the time the Israelites disobeyed) but it teaches them at an age appropriate level. I really respect that! Only drawback is the reading schedule in the IG, its WAY TOO aggressive! We break it down to one longish story or 2 shorter stories a day, read through the weekends (because we would anyway) and still we're behind the schedule. I'm fine with being behind but that could be a drawback for other beginning homeschoolers. The CD is fabulous. Its a must have!

I like this story Bible, but sometimes it's a little bit slow for my kids. My son has a very hard time paying attention during some of the longer readings. I think he'll get more out of it in a year or two. We do love the memory verse songs. The CD really helps them learn the verses. My 2 year old was singing a Bible memory verse song a few days ago. That's good learning for everyone!

My husband, my 6 y.o. daughter, and I LOVE the Egermeier's Bible. We have read from various bibles every bedtime for 3 years now. We love it so much we just end the book and go right back to the front to start over. The back of the book has study questions to test how much of the material you are retaining. We have so much fun quizzing each other after each story we read. It is so packed/crammed with info that we get new stuff upon each reading. It is the BEST we have found. **GREAT**

I have really enjoyed using Egermeier's book. It is the most thorough, yet captivating bible story book I have seen. At this crazy stage in life, it is my devotional time as well. Many of the stories stood out clearly to me,in different ways than before.
