A lot more interesting than we thought it was going to be. The scale of engineering involved to build The Wheel was very interesting, and the story line is enjoyable.

This was delightful. We looked up the Great Wheel online and found more fascinating facts about the fair. I read "The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair that Changed America by Erik Larson" (not for kids) just because I became so interested. "The Great Wheel" is a keeper.

My girls loved this "boy book". Engaging story, with nice "aha" moments / review opportunities from history studies on things like trains, gas lamps, immigration, etc.
