Your purchase of this product will allow us to donate a portion of the total cost of your order to Sonlight's charities. We are thrilled that, last year, we were able to contribute $0.47 to these organizations for every "Caddie Woodlawn" we sold. We look forward to doing the same this year!

Caddie has great adventures with her two brothers in the Wild West frontiers of Wisconsin in the late 1800s. Indians, raging rivers, massacre scares, loving family life are all here. Caddie is one of my favorite heroines.

How does an energetic red-haired girl keep the peace between Indians and villagers? You can find out and read more about this girl in Caddie Woodlawn by Carol Ryrie Brink . It is a it is a story about an eleven year old girl growing up in Wisconsin in 1864. Caddie and her family had fun times together, but sometimes they had bad times, too. One time her brother Warren dared Caddie to skate on black ice . But the ice cracked and she fell in, almost drowned, and got a bad cold . She had to stay in bed for a while, but she got better and could finally go back to school . I like this book because you never know what adventures Tom, Caddie, and Warren are going to have next . I recommend this book because it is well-written, exciting, and fun! by Katie (9 years old)

I read this last year to my daughters, aged 10, 7, and almost 6, and they absolutely loved it. Another reviewer is correct-- Caddie Woodlawn is better than the Little House books!

Kept my 12, 10, and 7 yo kids' attention. The two youngest (a boy and a girl) never wanted me to stop reading it!

Enchanting! Don't stop where this book ends; move on to Caddie Woodlawn's Family--another book by the same author.
