"My five year old really loves Core A. I think there are three components that make this a strong program. The first is the flexibility. I could change my pacing even half way through the year. The internet links from the encyclopedia and the hands-on activities in Living Long Ago have added a wonderful dimension to her learning. Finally, the Read-Alouds are all they promised to be. She jumps up and down and cheers when it's time for her Read-Aloud and often asks for more chapters."
    - Amelia H, Jan. 2010
"We just finished Core A with a 5-year-old. Highly recommend it. My daughter has been exposed to cultures, history, geography and more. Her fire for learning has been lit! What a joy to do school every day; almost every book was a hit. The Instructor's Guide kept us on track and helped me explain hard subjects. This is much more than I expected from a homeschool experience and certainly different than my own homeschool experience!"

"Core B+C totally exceeded my expectations. As a brand new Sonlighter, I will admit to being slightly overwhelmed with the sheer quantity of books. Also, the huge binder and instructor's guide was concerning. NOT SO! After adjusting and initially organizing things, it has been our best homeschool year yet. I use Core B+C with my 2nd and 4th graders. I am learning as much as the kids. They love that they don't do traditional workbook work for history, and get to color while I read to them."

"Thank you for helping my children develop a heart for God and a desire to share this love for our Lord with others. As I made lunch the other day, I thought I heard Elise and Erik arranging their stuffed animals to play school. When I peeked out at them, I saw them reading the American Indian Prayer Guide (from Core D). I asked them if their animals were having school and they said, ‘No, this is Bible Club.' I love the way my children are learning to love God and to love learning His word."

Core F is perfect for 11-, 12- and 13-year-olds and advanced 10-year-olds.

    - Ginny E, May 2010
"I think Core F is the very best core! While I learned as much or more with other cores in regards to history, this core changed my heart, as well as my children's. We were so moved by learning how many people haven't heard the Gospel, by praying for them, by learning about their culture. This core is a must before any student graduates. I can't wait to do it again with my younger children who were babies when we did it the first time!"

"Core 400 was an excellent ending to our students' Sonlight experience. More than all the other courses, it taught them to think critically about the material they come across in daily life. They learned not only the facts of our government, but to analyze information they receive regarding government. Yes, the course is rigorous. The text that is the spine for the core is a challenging one. I felt, however, that it was very good preparation for college level work. I would not recommend it for students below 12th grade, age 17 or 18 (unless they are academically advanced, highly motivated and interested in the subject) because of the difficulty of the material. I would also not recommend it for a student's first experience with Sonlight or first time using an upper core."

"Thank goodness for the simplicity of Sonlight's Science C. We were so pleased with how fun those experiments were. Alyssa made a lung from all by herself! We have enjoyed watching Discover and Do, which they really can do. Alyssa enjoyed the experiments so much that she is teaching Science A to her brothers next year."
