One of the things I love most about Sonlight has been how it has encouraged family learning. What could be more wonderful than watching big sisters and brothers reading and teaching the younger ones? When I'm reading from one of the many fabulous Sonlight books, it's magnetic. I may start reading to one child, but pretty soon, the room is quiet and several are listening and snuggling up on the couch! I just can't say enough about how the incredible literature has enhanced our togetherness. We've been using Sonlight for 13 wonderful years and are going to have our first graduate this year! Our youngest is just beginning her Sonlight adventure. Angelina (5) and Isabella (11) are using Cores A and H.
"Sonlight has helped us create a new family culture around fantastic literature. We love having amazing books for our kids to read. We now live in a country [Fiji] where books are not readily available, libraries are sparse and there are very few stores with children's books available. The Read-Alouds became our family entertainment and provided something routine and rich for our family as we transitioned into life overseas [as missionaries for Youth With a Mission]. We're so grateful for the quality, depth and worldview Sonlight provides. The excitement of having great stories at our fingertips has moulded our family into lifelong learners!" Four-year-old Jude is enjoying Sonlight's Pre-Kindergarten program. – Kim A, Manitoba, Canada
"Without Sonlight, we never would have had this God moment!" writes Jessica S of Etna, OH. "We met this lovely lady in the airport while traveling. She is Haitian and speaks French and Creole. She was engaging with the kids, and they were fascinated to know she was from another country! I asked if she wouldn't mind sharing some words with my kids, so she began teaching them different words in French and Creole. We mentioned a missionary family we know serving Haiti, and she was thrilled to know we were Christians. Emery (9) talked about Catching Their Talk in a Box and missionaries we've learned about. How cool is that?" In the photo: Emery (9), Liam (7), and Aubrey (5) with their new Haitian friend.

When Babe is taken in by Farmer Hogget's sheepdog, Fly, it's only natural he would want to follow in his foster mum's paw-steps. Even with considerable handicaps as a sheepdog (namely, he's a pig) he manages to overcome all with his earnestly polite and soft-spoken ways, proving once again that might doesn't always make right. After saving the sheep from rustlers and wild dogs, Babe convinces Hogget that his idea of becoming a sheep-pig might not be so silly after all. No one could have predicted what follows.
