"One of the greatest gifts Sonlight has given us is the books that light up our day," writes Mandi V of Lynchburg, VA. "Our backyard was transformed into the forest in Kildee House, our house was an Alaskan schoolroom during The Year of Miss Agnes, and so on. We don't have to travel far to enjoy the living books Sonlight provides. By the end of our first year, I knew homeschooling was the best decision we'd made, and that we'd be a Sonlight family for a very long time." In this picture, Jeremiah (8), Jadon (6), and Ezekiel (3) think how their Animal Poetry can come alive.
"After tons of research, I settled on Sonlight because of the literature-rich curriculum," writes Mom Jael C of Midland, MI, "and because there was a ready-to-go schedule to follow. After the first year of Sonlight, my 7 year old son went from not reading at all to reading our Usborne Science Encyclopedia, and we love reading together as a family. The schedule serves as a guardrail, but I love that I can modify it to fit our needs. We're two years in, and it still doesn't feel like doing school!" Gary (8) and Chloe (7) listen to their Read Aloud while their younger siblings listen in.
"After using Sonlight for just one year, I'm completely astonished how well my daughter reads," writes Jessie S of Deridder, LA. "Before we started using Sonlight, she absolutely loathed it. After using Core B with Grade 1 Readers, her reading skills took off and she now reads with amazing fluency. Reading has become enjoyable, and she actually offers to read to her younger siblings, much to their delight." Here, Journie (6) shares a good read with sister Piper (3) and brother Seeley (2).
"Without Sonlight, we never would have had this God moment!" writes Jessica S of Etna, OH. "We met this lovely lady in the airport while traveling. She is Haitian and speaks French and Creole. She was engaging with the kids, and they were fascinated to know she was from another country! I asked if she wouldn't mind sharing some words with my kids, so she began teaching them different words in French and Creole. We mentioned a missionary family we know serving Haiti, and she was thrilled to know we were Christians. Emery (9) talked about Catching Their Talk in a Box and missionaries we've learned about. How cool is that?" In the photo: Emery (9), Liam (7), and Aubrey (5) with their new Haitian friend.

A gorgeous collection of incredible poems with jaw-dropping National Geographic photography throughout. Just the photo of the eagle in flight with Tennyson's "The Eagle" is worth the price of the book. The whole thing: absolutely stunning.
