"We've been a Sonlight family for most of the past 15 years," writes Melissa C of Wray, CO. "It was the first curriculum we ever researched and, after looking into dozens of others (and using some of them), the one we came back to. I love that the Instructor's Guide does all the planning for me. Our bookworm kids devour the Readers, and even our kids who didn't enjoy reading have been captivated by the literature. Read-Aloud time is, hands down, our favorite part of the day! It's like pulling old friends off the shelf as we read and reread them to our five kids." Eloise (13, HBL W) celebrates the end of the year with her finished stack of books!
I'm so thankful for Sonlight's Language Arts guidance. We kept plugging away and I took faith in the tips and pointers (and Ruth Beechick's book). I won't forget the week everything seemed to brighten and I wasn't 'making' Zeke read anymore. He now says reading is his favorite! Here, Zeke (7, Core C) and Amelia (4, Pre-Kindergarten Multi-Subject) think little sister Isabella's hair looks like Ping from Little Pear [Core B].
"The Sonlight Language Arts program is exceptional," writes Erin J of Alberta, Canada. "Cayleigh (7) went from not being able to read a word at the start of 1st grade, to being able to read anything at the end of it. It's an amazing curriculum. Cayleigh now devours every book she can get her hands on. The emphasis on reading and the sheer variety of books has sparked a love of the written word in all my children, who I now find bringing books to church, friends' houses, and even the playground!" Here, Caden (9), Cayleigh (7), Liana (6), Josiah (4), look at their Sonlight books while Samara and Sofia (2) sit in.
