A key aspect of Sonlight we've enjoyed these past 12 years is the ability to integrate learning and living. Good literature is at the heart of Sonlight, and sharing books together is at the heart of our school and life as a family. Some of my favorite moments of parenting and homeschooling involve reading to my boys alongside our outdoor adventures. Immersing ourselves in history and literature has been the backbone of our many years with Sonlight. I wouldn't trade it for a minute! Kai (8) and Rafe (10), currently studying Core D, take a Charlotte's Web break while hiking Mount Baker. The W family (including Luke, Per and Jan, not pictured) has been studying with Sonlight for 12 years.

Sonlight curriculum creates an exciting way for our family to learn. Our three boys are excited to demonstrate their skills as they eagerly connect what they learn with everyday experiences. Sonlight is a blessing because it keeps our entire family organized, enriched and hungry for knowledge. We love that it is a Christian curriculum specializing in individual packages. The resources and materials absolutely satisfy our needs and provide us with the tools to successfully help our children learn and grow. In their fourth Sonlight year, Cole (7), Qwest (6) and Quade (4) are using Cores P4/5, A and B. Here, they explore a close-to-home story with Dad.

We love Sonlight because it teaches our children to think critically about what they are learning. It challenges them to carefully consider the worldview that the media and many of their friends hold. They are learning that the biblical worldview is supported by science (among other subjects) and they are learning how to defend their faith. Sonlight also breaks us free from the 'school at home' mindset by allowing a more relaxed learning environment and encouraging discussion rather than completing lots of worksheets. Thanks Sonlight!
