The Sonlight Cores were igniting a love for learning in my girls, so we decided to give Sonlight Science a try. When my older girls were smaller, we often overlooked science. But since [starting Sonlight Science], science is a subject that gets done. As soon as any of the children are reading comfortably, I find them independently poring over their engaging science books. The supply kits and the Discover and Do DVD (a favorite even of our 4-year-old) allow us regular lab work with little effort to get everything together. And my high schoolers have everything they need – from weekly schedules to chemicals to microscopes! Sonlight is Christ-centered, well-organized, easy to teach, trustworthy, affordable, and most of all, fun! The teacher's guide is easy to follow, requiring no preparation or planning on my part. The books and materials are beautiful and Christ-centered, highlighting the unique people and creation of the world. And most importantly, my children love their school time: reading, creating, singing, and especially science project times with Daddy. I had no idea how much children learn through listening to books read aloud.
