Treasures are unfolding in our Home School. Sonlight Core B is opening my daughter's eyes to a bigger world. Each of them are gathering knowledge and understanding that there are different people, cultures, beliefs, and places far beyond what they experience in our community. Comparing money from Russia, Honduras, Cuba, China, Hong Kong, Panama and USA gave them concrete knowledge. Reading about passports and visas came alive as they held their own passports with visas and stamps from China and Hong Kong. Reading becomes reality with Sonlight. 

Thanks so much for saving our homeschooling experience! We have been homeschooling our oldest from the beginning, but it seemed to get harder each year. We were using a popular workbook-based curriculum for 3 years and then switched, out of desperation, to a computer-based program. But all we got was cries of 'I hate school!!' I was at my wits end when a friend recommended Sonlight. We got Core D and slowly I noticed he wasn't upset at the mention of school time. By the time we finished the year, he was not complaining at all. A few years after we'd started Sonlight, he said, 'Mom, don't tell anyone, but I actually like school now. I kind of hate to have to stop for the weekends.' That was music to my ears. Here, middle son, Eli (5), gives a sprawling hug to his new Core A books. The D family is now in their fourth year of Sonlight.

We always encourage homeschoolers to try Sonlight and see what a refreshing change happens within your family. We are often asked how we got our kids to get along and love each other so well. Many won't understand unless they have taken the Sonlight path of homeschooling. Sonlight has developed a tight bond between siblings. They often compare what they study and read in Sonlight's curriculum, which sparks debates or excited chatter over suspenseful stories. We have many memories over the years of listening to books curled up on our cushy sofa. Here, Dad helps Paris (15), Tristan (14) and Nakita (12) collect water samples for a Biology experiment. They're studying Cores F and 100 in their family's eleventh year of Sonlight.
