God has richly blessed my journey as a homeschooling mom by bringing me to Sonlight Curriculum. I started with Sonlight when my oldest child was in Kindergarten. That was 16 years ago and my family is still using Sonlight. Every year we look forward to history and literature, exciting science and challenging math. And we even tackle the difficult concept, for us, of writing well.

The Instructor's Guides (IG) bring me confidence and peace of mind. I know our work is planned out for me and all I have to do is open my IG and start teaching. Since I find it challenging to get a nice meal on the table every night and keep the house clean while homeschooling I cannot imagine how I would find time to pick the best books, coordinate history and literature, add science experiments to the science reading, and come up with writing assignments as well. Sonlight has done all of that for me and I know they pick the best of the best in materials!

My two oldest students are now in college. They had an easy transition to college academics after doing so many Sonlight Cores. Now I have just two students left at home. My high school student is enjoying the books in Core 100. My youngest student, a sixth grader, has begun to read chapter books this year. After he read the first reader in core 3, A Lion to Guard Us, he asked for another book. His comment was: "Can I have another book? Sonlight has good books!" After seeing him struggle for years to read it is pure joy to watch him enjoy books!
