Why does Sonlight carry only the "Homeschool" edition of Rosetta Stone?

Numerous Sonlight customers have asked us why we carry only the "Homeschool" edition of the Rosetta Stone language programs. (We do carry all the Rosetta Stone LANGUAGES, but we don't carry all their program EDITIONS.) This is certainly a good question... and here is our thinking:

We believe Rosetta Stone's Homeschool programs are, of them all, the very best value for your money. The other editions are:

• Personal Edition—This edition includes the curriculum text and user guide, but it does not include the Student Management System Manual and CD-ROM, the handbook for teachers, or any of the workbooks, study guides, paper quizzes, and tests that ARE included in the Homeschool Edition sets. To us, it simply doesn't make sense to carry the "Personal Edition" when we can offer you all that extra value—for the same price.
• Classroom Edition—More expensive than the Homeschool Edition we offer, Rosetta Stone's "Classroom Edition" is typically used by a classroom of students because their teacher can manage the class over a computer network. Yes, this feature is beneficial for a classroom environment with multiple computers, but it just does not have the same value for your family in a homeschool.

Because the "Homeschool" edition includes more materials than the Personal Edition, and in turn, has all the components that make it a more robust homeschool program (as opposed to other editions), we find that the "Homeschool Edition" gives you the most bang for your buck. For that reason, Sonlight Curriculum has no plans to carry any other edition.
