Actual dimensions in inches: 7.3 X 4.3 X 0.8.
Weight: 11 ounces.

With FlashMaster, a hand-held electronic device, this dream becomes reality.

One homeschooling mom writes, "When we received the FlashMaster, our six-year-old daughter, who was very reluctant to practice her math facts, instantly transformed into an eager and delighted learner."

Another parent says, "Our daughter has increased her time and accuracy significantly. We are very pleased with FlashMaster's ability to teach the tables since this is the foundation of math! Thanks so much for giving us a teacher that is fun!"

And the accolades keep coming. “I cringed at spending $50 for a ‘flashcard’ machine, but after having used it with my kids, I think I’m going to have to buy another to keep them from fighting over it. THANK YOU SO MUCH!”

No longer will you have to use flashcards to drill your reluctant children. Simply put the FlashMaster out on the kitchen table … or leave it in the living room … or in the backseat of the car … and watch your children clamor to get their hands on it.

The FlashMaster replaces flashcards, timed practice and timed tests. It includes:

  • Addition: 0+0=0 through 9+9=18
  • Subtraction: 0-0=0 through 18-9=9
  • Multiplication: 0x0=0 through 12x12=144
  • Division: 0÷1=0 through 144÷12=12
  • nine levels of difficulty
  • Time limits — per activity or per problem
  • Choice of question styles: 1+2=?, 1+?=3 and ?+2=3
  • Option to focus on specific sets of problems (including ones your kids miss the most)
  • Ability to review results from previous quizzes and activities

I love FlashMaster. It's easy to use, to take along in the van, to focus on any difficult problems, to gently introduce new facts and easy to assign! I was leery about buying a "fancy flashcard system." The money was well worth it for us. My daughter has made great progress with her math facts, just using it 5 minutes per day. I put in special problems for her. She first does the special problems and then any other problems she wishes to do. She's been teaching herself multiplication, before I've introduced multiplication to her. Before FlashMaster she was very discouraged about Math. Now, she can see her progress literally with FlashMaster. A+ from us!"

FlashMaster is incredibly easy to use. All you need to do is show your children how to use it—a simple task— and turn them loose. It takes no more than 10 minutes a day of your children’s time.

FlashMaster costs $49.95. Is it worth it? The parents who've purchased it certainly think so.

One homeschooling parent writes, "I love the Special Problems and the See Results keys. What a completely thought out product! It is fully worth the $50.00!"

If your children have ever struggled to learn math facts or lacked motivation to practice their tables, then FlashMaster is precisely what you need. (Batteries included.)

FlashMaster is designed for children ages 6 and up.

I finally spent the money to purchase Flashmaster and I have not regretted it one bit. It is now one of the few pieces of school that I can hand to my 6 year old and he can do independently. I just program it for the appropriate level of practice for 3 minutes and he can do it on his own. He gets very excited trying to beat his score each day. Much more excitement than when I was sitting holding the flashcards for him impatiently waiting for him to focus and answer. It's been worth every penny. Right now we are just doing addition but I have no doubt it will be a lifesaver as we move into subtraction, multiplication and division over the years.

I really struggled with the decision to buy this - it's a lot of money, is it worth it? Well, YES, it IS! My kids are enjoying their new 'game' and I love knowing they're reviewing their math facts over the summer!

I personally love the flash master with it's flexibility, and two of my boys also enjoy it. But I do want to point out a challenge with it which one of my sons was not able to overcome. A child must "punch in" numbers to answer each problem which is much slower than saying or writing the answer. He was not able to put the numbers in fast enough to decrease his time and progress through the levels. I wasn't pressuring him about the time, because I figure that he's practicing either way, but he became overwhelmed and is doing better with the old-fashioned flashcards! I still highly recommend this product, but just wanted to point out this drawback for certain people. He can answer one every 1-2 secs. with flashcards but could only answer 1 every 5 seconds with the Flashmaster.

This is so convenient, flexible, entertaining, and most of all appealing for my children. They found math drills always fun & exciting whenever they use the flashmaster. I don't think I would have come across this by myself if it weren't for Sonlight. I highly recommend this great tool for parents of primary grade children. It's definitely worth your money!

A great tool for helping our children review and master their addition and multiplication facts. We have recently started using it to give weekly quizzes on the multiplication tables (addition, subtraction, or division if you prefer). Since the Flash Master saves the most recent 9 activities, I am able to view the scores even if the machine has been powered off after a quiz. Each week I have my 4th grader quiz a particular table in multiplication, say the 3s on a given week. Flash Master gives problems from multiplication by 3, up to 3 x 10 until each problem is answered correctly twice. I have told my student that she is allowed to repeat her quiz until she makes a 100. If it takes 20 tries, it didn't take up my time, she got lots of review on multiplying by 3 without an impatient instructor becoming frustrated with her, and she should have mastered that part of the multiplication table by the time she gets that 100! You have the options of a timed test, timed practice (missed problems repeated), timed flashcards, tables in order or out of order. You can input "special problems," such as problems from different tables that your child needs to practice, varying the operation used. Flash Master saves missed problems in memory, and those problems can be tested and reviewed too. Flash Master is easy to use right out of the box; we didn't need to read the instructions.

I was a little leary of the price of the Flashmaster when I first saw it. But my kids (8 & 9) have really been struggling with their basic math facts. They are both special needs and their tutor wants them to have their math facts memorized. We were spending about 30-45 minutes some days struggling with flash cards. Then the Flashmaster arrived in the mail from Sonlight! Now the kids are reviewing these facts on their own in their "spare time" and trying to beat each other's scores. This opened up a half-hour of school time each day for us to spend time together studying the more "fun" subjects. It was definitely worth the price to save me (and the kids) so much time and frustration every day. Even though the kids have not gotten frustrated with it yet, they do occasionally forget that it is there and forget to practice these skills on their own. I just pick it up and start playing with it myself. You can play a game in just a minute or two. Then the kids see me with it and take it over so they can try to beat my score! I leave this in front of the TV and my kids "play" with it almost every day.
