All the teaching resources you need in one package: a pronunciation CD, instructional/practice flashcards, teacher's guide with three-ring binder, and textbook with consumable worksheets and tests.

Begins with the very basics and moves outward from there. The program is designed so you can simply pick it up and do it with virtually no preparation. The LATIN Road is so thorough in its study of English grammar, it will strongly supplement if not entirely replace much of the material covered in a standard intensive grammar program.

Please note: Each student will need their own set of consumable worksheets/tests (RL57W). Optionally, you may wish to provide each student their own separate textbook (RL57T) which includes a set of consumable worksheets/tests.

5 out of 5 stars by Shannon S on 2011-06-09
This is an excellent program for a homeschool with no Latin background. I believe it does require the teacher to do the lessons about a week ahead of the student, simply because some verbs have multiple different meanings. We used this program when my daughter was 11, and she did very well. Some reviewers are not fond of this program because they don't think it leads as well to Latin translation of original texts, and they prefer a more traditional approach. Since my goal was more to improve our understanding of language and to train our brains in how to systematically approach difficult material, I believe this program was a perfect fit for us.
