Continues to refine students' cursive hand. Focuses on passages from Proverbs.
A Reason for Handwriting is a complete handwriting curriculum with daily practice focused on verses from Scripture, as presented in the Living Bible paraphrase.
By providing students with fancy border sheets on which to do their work (border sheets suitable for display) the authors of A Reason for Handwriting seek to motivate students subconsciously to think of the public nature of their work and, therefore, to improve their handwriting.
A Reason for Handwriting follows the traditional, "ball-and-stick" style of print, and a standard cursive hand.

My oldest daughter never needed a handwriting program, but my second daughter struggled with handwriting. It was just one of the things she hated doing in school and would cry over. We purchased A Reason for Handwriting when she was nine and she loved doing the lessons because they were short. This workbook quickly became her favorite thing to do and she looked forward to it each day. She continued doing it without any prompting from me for the next few years. She is now 14 and has beautiful handwriting. She hasn't done a handwriting program for a couple of years now, and it may have taken her longer than some to hone her handwriting abilities, but A Reason for Handwriting was exactly what she needed. Her two younger sisters have used it since they were very young and they are now 10 and 11. They have never been strong in handwriting, but they have never complained once. They both look forward to the workbook each day as well. I think this program is perfect for those who have difficulty with handwriting and who become frustrated with too much work daily.
