My son's handwriting is so much neater with this paper. He did great with the k work book and we are getting ready to start the level 1 book. I know this paper is not what we are used to seeing but for him it has been wonderful. I can't wait to see how my daughter does with this system.

My daughter found this lining system confusing and repeatedly tried to write between the two lines instead of using the top line as the half way mark even after being shown several times. My husband outright refuses to use it with her so I have given up. Perhaps if she hadn't already been exposed to writing lined paper it would be different. However, I love the texture and grip of the paper that is just write for beginning writers.

I didn't understand this paper at first, but now I don't understand the paper they use in public school. this makes much more sense. All those lines in regular writing paper just confuse my kindergartner. We finished the HWT workbook in about 2 months and since then I make up our handwriting assignments for the day. My only problem is that we go through a lot of it and I can't even find it in our educational store.

This paper is not what I grew up with... It is a great idea, but make sure you know how to use it properly. We used it wrongly for quite a while and my son had trouble getting the lower half of his letters consistently sized. Then we started using it correctly, and he would get frustrated with not knowing how high to start his letters. I'm getting him some paper with the top and bottom lines and the dotted line in the middle. That is what he needs.
