My five-year-old daughter loved this calendar! She really enjoyed coloring in the pictures and using the stickers. And, by the end of the school year, she was crossing off all the dates herself and could be counted on to know what date it was.

Both my kids love this calendar. I will purchase one for each of them next year. We start out each day reciting the days of the week and months of the year. They love to color the pictures at the beginning of each month too. We never really talked about the different cultures portrayed in the pictures so I'll focus on that next time around. This is a great tool to help my kids get a handle on something they'll use for the rest of their lives.

We love the calendar! I think it has been great in helping him understand how the calendar works since he has to fill in the dates. He loves putting the stickers on it for each month and coloring the picture.

I just purchased this calendar and it looks like it will be a helpful tool. The only problem I have noticed so far is that the first month is September. We start our school year in August, so I had to make an August calendar page to cover the first three weeks of school.

We loved this calendar! Kids write in the own numbers, handwriting task. Place stickers for holidays and other events. We always sang the 7 days in a week song (to tune of "found a peanut") and the 12 months in a year song ( to tune of "one little, two little, three little indians"). We're buying it again with Core 1 because it has so many great learning tools in one activity!! My three year old even sings the songs with us and helps color the pictures.

My child really enjoys filling in the dates and coloring. Putting on the stickers helps me to start conversations about different holidays and their meanings. A little bit of activities related to months or holidays would have been nice, though.

I was kind of disappointed with the calendar. It was just a basic blank calendar with a space for a picture on top. There were no lessons on days of the week, nothing to help the children remember months or understand the passage of time, nothing to hold their interests until they are old enough to read well and write well to fill it in. I was hoping for something a bit more colorful and interesting with associated lessons.

My kids really enjoyed this calendar. It helped them learn the order of the months. They looked forward to coloring the picture each month (each month feature kids from a different culture) and writing in the dates. Since the calendar isn't premarked, it can be started at anytime. A bit over 100 self-adhesive stickers to mark holidays, moon phases, and other special events (wrote a poem, did a science experiment, etc.) were especially fun. 1 caveat, since the calendar is 17 months, 2 sets of the fall & winter holidays should have been included--my kids were disappointed when the 2nd October, November, December rolled around and there weren't any additional holiday stickers. This is a great activity for the intended age group.
