Wonderful book about real experiences in the 1930's and 1940's. It gave me a new understanding of the time and people.

What an amazing book! THis opened up our whole understanding of events in that area during WWII we'd never known about (including me, the mom!). So well-written, we were eager to pick it up every day, and report each evening to Dad what had happened!
