We loved this book. We cried through parts of it. This was beautifully written. We read ahead for most of this book.

This was our least favorite book in Core F. My daughter was upset by the story; I didn't like the story, and we are skipping it with my son. I can guarantee that he would not like the younger brother being killed by wild dogs.

What an amazing story! The children and I looked forward to our read aloud time and we sometimes would lose track of time by reading more than was scheduled. Gotta love stories like that! ;)

Anyone who first hates reading, but later learns to love it usually has a book that opens their eyes to the joys of literature. This was that book for me! Enjoy!

This was an amazing book. Reading about her self sufficiency was an incredible journey for us. It was so well written that we felt we were there with her. We cried, we rejoiced. When we found out it was a true story we were shocked! This is one of my top 5 Sonlight books.

Our family enjoyed this book, and borrowed the movie from the library after reading it. We discussed how the movie wasn't as detailed as the book.

Both my daughter and I loved this book. Amazing true facts from the story in the back of the book. Excellent.

We LOVED this book as a read aloud for our children, ages 10 and 4. Especially because it was based on a real young girl. Amazing. Touching.
