A Litte Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett is an excellent story for everyone. This book is my favorite because the main character Sara is sweet. She has the same name as me. She makes friends easily-just like me. My favorite part of the book was when Sara went to the Indian Gentteman's house and was able to stay. This book made me feel sad in the beginning because s Sara's dad died and she had to stay in the attic. Later I felt happy because she was able to find a new home. I think you'll want to read this book because it is a story about a little girl who has faith even when bad things happen. By Sarah age 8

I loved this book because it sounded magical and because of the great friendships in the story. My favourite part of the book was the ending. This book made me feel as if I wanted to be like the main character. I think you will want to read this book because it is SO lovely. Emma Age 8

You WILL cry! This book is an amazing, heart-wrenching read that will open your child's eyes to a sampling of the injustices of the world ... as well as its beauties.

A Little Princess written by Frances Hodgson Burnett in 1963 and published by HarperCollins is an exciting book. This story is about a little girl named Sara. When her father dies she is left alone and penniless. She lives a life as a servant girl until she is rescued by a rich mysterious stranger. I think you should read this book because it has a princess in it. My favorite part of the book is when magic happened when all seemed lost. This book made me sad, happy, mad and excited all at once. If you like books full of mystery and emotion then this book is for you. Once you start reading you can't stop reading until the touching ending. --by Abigail E on 2008-06-23

This book is scheduled toward the end of the year, and although I adored this book as a child, the thought of reading the whole thing aloud made my stomach sink. We checked it out on CD (unabridged) from the local library and listened to it in the car. We all LOVED it - including my 3yo ds and my 9yo ds. I fell in love with the story all over again as an adult.

Way better than either movie. Even my son liked it though he did cringe at the title and pink cover.

I thought this was a good book. I liked how Sara never gave up. She kept trying. - by Daniel M.

Both my ds, age 8, and dd, who wasn't quite 5 yet, really enjoyed this book. Sara was inspirational, and her story from riches, to rags, and riches again was an exciting read.
