Yes, the idea is nice, but I found the supply to be really skimpy. You are not getting a pack of straws, aluminum foil, rubber bands, etc. One hour at the dollar store can get all of these in full supply.( Not just say, a square of foil.) I want to do some of these experiments more than once. And in the Science K kit, I found I still had to gather lists of items anyway. I would have liked to see more in this box. Common Household item or not, it was the convenience I was wanting. (Most of these things are on hand anyway, don't you think?) I think I paid $11 for the convenience of not shopping for charcoal and a tsp. of citric acid (and the boys wanted to repeat the citric acid experiment but couldn't!)

Oh, I am so glad I bought this kit! Thank you for putting together all these little items for me so I don't have to buy each thing individually and end up with a ton of leftover stuff!

This kit could definitely include a lot more. They could trade the tin foil (is there really anyone who doesn't have tin foil?) for a bulb, or for some of the other hard to find things that are not included. I also think the peat pots should be replaced with plastic pots, the peat pots were too hard to keep wet, and were too small.

Unless you are one of those really resourceful homeschoolers this kit is a must! There is no scrambling to get together things during the week for that Friday experiment. We have been well pleased with the quality of items in the kit, no matter how important or insignificant they seem.
