Watching the cartoon over and over made me be interested in reading the book. All the characters were funny. I liked Rabbit and Owl because they talked a lot and they said that they are wise. Pooh was fun because he was hungry all the time. I enjoyed how Piglet talks. I finished the book when I was sick. It’s a good book for when you are sick, it makes you feel better! I wish you read this book. It will bring you in a new world. Sara, 8 years old

This is a hard book to read aloud. Characters have a lot of nonsensical talk and there are things that I thought funny but were lost on 5 year olds. I think they enjoyed stories about familiar characters, but didn't actually enjoy the stories themselves.

The Winnie the Pooh stories were our daughters first read alouds at the age of 1 year old. This is a timeless classic which we come back to again and again.

I can't say that my kids or I enjoyed this book. Parts of it were non-sensical and didn't really make sense. The characters had a lot of bad manners, that were accepted as normal. I would rate this book as one of those books that is good to read (for cultural literacy), but it's not a particularly enjoyable book.

I had trouble with the book. The part when Eeyore is bounced into the river by Tigger and is commenting on why he is in the river in his dry way.... Well, it was just impossible to read. I was laughing too hard. I will add that this book is a little wordy/long for many 5 and 6 year olds. Some parts the kids did well with (they were 7 and 5 at the time) and others just seemed to go up and over the younger one's head.
