In the words of a first time homeschool mom: this program is Idiot-Proof! We are using the latest version, Aug 2011, and it is everything you need. The new program quizzes, tests, keeps track, and even allow parents to make adjustments. Love it!

We used Math 7 and Loved it we didn't even open the books. My daughter did all the work on paper then put the answers in the computer. Pre-algebra is totaly different, you need the books. The computer is not interactive you have the lecture and each problem is worked out but you must keep track of grades, you do not type any thing. Plus it seems too easy so we are ordering the books and are going to test until it doesn't seam like review anymore.

We did Teaching Textbooks Pre-Algebra this year after doing Saxon up to this point. I think this is an excellent program for students whose parents are unable to teach this level of math. However, as a parent who is strong in math, I feel that Saxon is more thorough and presents some items in a better fashion (in conjunction with the DIVE CD's).
