Your purchase of this product will allow us to donate a portion of the total cost of your order to Sonlight's charities. We are thrilled that, last year, we were able to contribute $1.08 to these organizations for every "TOPS 38-Green Thumbs: Radishes" we sold. We look forward to doing the same this year!

Because radishes grow so fast, tropisms (natural predilections to grow in certain directions) are easy to observe. See how roots grow toward water, leaves tilt toward light, stems bend against gravity. Graph growth rates on a sigma curve. A great hands-on introduction to plants and how they grow! 20 Lessons for late elementary and junior high students.

5 out of 5 stars by ALISHA C on 2008-08-14
My third grader is enjoying the experiments in this series! I like that the Discover and Do DVD included with the Science 3 program introduces the experiments step by step. It is also helpful that Sonlight provides the necessary materials for the experiments (for the exception of a few household items) and that they are sequentially scheduled.

I have been homeschooling for 10 years. Nothing beats Tops when it comes to experiments. These guides are easy to follow and the materials are readily avaliable.

Science experiments are my least favorite subject (although they are my kids favorites.) TOPS radish experiments are easy to understand and easy to do. Everything is laid out and explained well. It's easy to modify them when necessary. The experiments build on each other in a logical order.
