My favorite book this year was Sarah Plain and Tall. It is very exciting and funny! You never know what will happen! I loved Sarah plain and tall and you will too! By Anna N. age 8 May 15 2009

Sarah Plain and Tall was my favorite book for third grade. It was exciting and interesting. I loved it when Sarah wrote the letters and then came to live with Ann, Caleb and their Papa. She slid down a haystack like a sand dune. She was teaching Ann and Caleb how to swim in the lake. by Hallie S. age 9

This is one of maybe two books for which I like the movie version better. Hallmark Hall of Fame brought out so much more than the book did, of the way people lived then. We also loved Skylark, but did not see the third movie in the series (don't even know what it is called).
