4 out of 5 stars by JULIE C on 2009-04-09
My son really loved this book. He pulled it out again and again to check out the tribes and to look at the map of where they lived.

Very readable, good overview of the different tribes, even if it is a bit young. It's one of the earliest books in the core and it's nice to start out gently.

I kept wondering if I had the correct book, since the Instructor Guide split it into several days. This is a thin paperback suitable for much younger children, and not appropriate for the older students that may be using this Core. Interesting pictures for the younger reader. Supplement from the library for your older students, please.

Interesting introduction. Lots of varied cultural depictions. True to life artwork.

Maybe a bit juvenile, but still good at pointing out the differences between the North American peoples and their homes.
