With the easy-to-read language of this book, we read through it quickly. The kids kept wanting "one more day" of the journal. The story held all three kids' (ages 6 to 9) interest. A great way to start our study of American History!

This book brings in the emotions of the Columbus voyage in a way that draws you in and leads you to want to know more. Easy to read- we are having a hard time putting this one down. This book really fills in many gaps to make this period in history become alive!
