Review by Ruth Anne, 9: This book is about experiences Ann and Adoniram Judson had while in Burma. My favorite parts were when Len-Lay and Mah-Lo's mother came home, when a tiger arrived at the prison in Burma, and, last, but not least, when Ann Judson had a baby. I think other people should read this book because it is exciting and adventurous and because you never know what is around the corner.

Reviewed by Riley, 9 and Kara, 8: This was our favorite book this year because it had scary and sad and happy parts. The girls thought that their father was dead, but he wasn't! We were scared when the tiger was sent to the prison by the general. We thought he was going to eat the prisoners! Our favorite part was when Mrs. Judson had her baby. It was a great book because it showed that God can work miracles!!

Written by Daniel, age 10.5: This was my favorite book this year! It was my favorite because it was very suspenseful and it was sad, happy, funny, scary and it was TRUE! It was about two christian missionaries in Burma, and about two Burmese girls that they adopted. At the time of the story, Burma was at war with England, and the government was putting all the white men into prison. One of the missionaries, Mr. Judson, had to go to the death prison, just because he was a white man. The whole time he was there, he was working on translating the New Testament of the Bible into Burmese. One of his adopted girls got the small pox and almost died. God rescued Mr. Judson from a tiger and answered everyone's prayers by letting Mr. Judson go free to be the interpreter for the war. I think everyone should read this book because it is very good. It shows that we should never give up and always trust in God. It is a great story and if you like suspense, you will love this book!
