What’s the Big Idea, Ben Franklin? Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be full of ideas? I just finish the book What’s the Big Idea, Ben Franklin? I really liked this book. Ben Franklin was born in 1706, in Boston. He was an apprentice for his brother. Franklin was in the printing business. He wrote the Declaration of Independence. In October 1723 he went to Pennsylvania. In 1730 he married Debby. The couple made a shop selling chocolate, books, sealing wax, pencils, and maps, pictures of animals, fish nets, compasses, codfish, and cloth. Ben created a club called the Leather Apron Club. In that club they argued and talked. In 1732 Franklin decided to write an almanac (calendar). In 1733 he published it. He invented a lot of things. He was the one that created the lighting rod. Do you think Ben is an interesting man? I do. Cannon
