I read this to my 10, 9, 8 & 7 year olds and WE all enjoyed it. It's a great book showing how we need to put our dream aside and trust in God because He has an amazing plan for our lives as Joanne learned. Amazing!

This is an amazing book that portrays what being a missionary involves - building relationships with people and loving them and sharing Jesus all the while. God's power, both to defeat demonic forces and also to accomplish the miraculous task of changing people's hearts, is so evident in this book. I enjoyed this book so much that I immediately loaned it out to two friends. I'm so glad Sonlight chose to make this part of our curriculum!

A dear friend gave me this book when she was studying to be a missionary. I've read it over and over throughout the years. It is riveting. I learn something new every time I read a few pages.

An intense and compelling read. Illustrates the reality of the spirit world and God's awesome power at overcoming it. A true story--one of the best books I have ever read.

This is a fabulous book. We rarely read ahead, but with this book, we just couldn't help it. It was too exciting! I think it was good because it illustrates that demonic power is real and not to be messed with. It also shows that God is greater.
This is a book I doubt I ever would have come across without Sonlight. I'm so glad we read it.
