Well done.

This book is about myths. Myths are fictional tales of the past. They are important because they tell us what the Greeks thought about the world long ago. My favorite myth was "Circe's Magic". It is about good vs. evil. It taught me that you don't take things from strangers. I like this book because it is fun and exciting. It's exciting because the book has wonderful illustrations. Review by Jammer, age 7, LA 2.

I read this book called Greek Myths retold by Heather Amery, Illustrated by Linda Edwards and published in 2000 by Usborne Publishing Ltd. It's a lively book with all the myths that the silly Greeks used to believe in. You'll love this book because it uses descriptive words that paint a beautiful picture in your mind. This book made me feel happy, sad, and joyful. My favorite chapter of the book is Persephone and the Seasons. When Hades took Persephone to the under world, it was winter. When Persephone was out in the real world with her mother, it was spring. When I got this book, I was delighted by all the stories they had to tell, and I know that you will love them too. -- Review by Madison, 7 years old (using Sonlight since 4 years old).

Greek Myths come up in real life more often than you may realize. There are so many companies named after Greek Gods. I have to admit, I enjoyed reading this to my children and discussing all of the issues from a Christian World View. This is the point of Sonlight-teach them to think using reality and not "life in a bubble." Thank you for including this colorful and child-level overview of the Greek Gods! I even gave this book away as a gift to my nieces and nephew for them to learn from and enjoy!

This is a well-done introduction to Greek myths, which I personally found very informative and interesting. Would I read it to my young children? No. I would prefer they learn about these myths only at a later age, after obtaining a stronger foundation in the Word of God.

Greatly enjoyed by my girls and me. Because the stories were both short and interesting, my 4 year old could also enjoy this with her older sister.

I felt the need to skip over much of the material in this book due to the graphic nature of many of the myths with my two daughters, ages 8 and 5.
