This is one of daughter's favorite stories. Gooney Bird is a dynamic storyteller who can spin a yarn just as well as Mark Twain.

This book is wonderful for the intended age group (Core 1). My daughter absolutely adored it. Gooney Bird is smart beyond her years, which makes the book a bit unrealistic--she seems smarter than her teacher. But the book is respectful and a lot of fun.
