5 out of 5 stars by Amy J on 2011-10-29
This was one of our favorite books- and icidentally, we happened to read it preceding a trip to Kansas City, MO, and a visit to the WWI memorial. The treatment of war themes from the POV of a girl moving from childhood into adulthood was compelling. We all found a part of her character to relate to-me, my 14yo son, my 12yo daughter and even my 9yo son.
