...then this Newcomer™ 2 program is for you. It is a condensed program that covers, in slightly less detail, all the history covered in the Core 1 & 2 programs. It includes everything you need to teach one student for one full year; with modification it can be used with multiple children.
The Newcomer™ 2 curriculum includes:

- Science, Language Arts, and Math
- Handwriting and Required Resources
- Age-appropriate Art and Music

Newcomer™ 2 Curriculum Prerequisite Skills:
Regular Readers: Read long-vowel, five- and six-letter words somewhat fluently.
Advanced Readers: Read near a 3rd grade level.
Daily Time Requirements:
Child: 2 - 3 hrs; Parent: 1.5 - 2 hrs
Please Note
If this is your first time with Sonlight and you have a child at Level 2, then Sonlight's condensed 1+2 program will probably fit you best. Our normal Level 2 program is a continuation ("Part 2") of the Level 1 program. So if you buy Level 2 without having already completed Level 1, it will be a bit disorienting. By choosing the 1+2 program, your child is exposed to all the major events and ideas covered in both the Level 1 and Level 2 programs.
