If this is your first year with Sonlight or your first year homeschooling...

...then this Newcomer 2 program is for you. It is a condensed program that covers, in slightly less detail, all the history covered in the Core 1 & 2 programs. It includes everything you need to teach one student for one full year; with modification it can be used with multiple children.

The Newcomer 2 curriculum includes:

  • Sonlight's Core 1+2 (which includes Bible, History, Read-Alouds, and Readers)
  • Science, Language Arts, and Math
  • Handwriting and Required Resources

Bible 2 brings the Word of God to life for your children as you travel from Genesis to Revelation discovering interesting facts about the people, places and events of the Bible. Daily scripture readings and weekly memory verses build a foundation for spiritual growth.

This is our first year home schooling and, my goodness, we are so glad to have the day mapped out for us by Sonlight. My son loves Aesop For Children, World History and especially Window On The World. He travels the world over, from our home, praying for people of the world. The books are incredible and life changing. Yesterday my son told me "Thanks for teaching me to love reading!" The only real credit I can take is deciding to homeschool with Sonlight. The books are so good, who wouldn't love to read?! Thanks, Sonlight!! You are an answer to prayer!

I purchased the 4 day and wished I got the 5 day. This is so much fun!! I was surprised, at first, on the style of the books, the size of them. We love the stories and when we are almost done with the books, we don't want it to end! Then we get excited about the next story! Great teaching tools!
